Climate Community Events

The Climate Community offers support for continuing climate work and implementing impactful climate actions. Climate Community events include training, networking, and expert presentations on current topics.

The Climate Community is made possible by:

1. Two annual live meetings

Members of the Climate Community gather twice a year for networking at live meetings featuring expert presentations and current updates.

The first meeting will be held on August 20th in Helsinki.

2. Scope 3 calculation trainings and calculation sparring workshops

In early autumn and early spring, online training focused on Scope 3 emissions carbon footprint calculations are organized. Training is offered on several dates, allowing companies to choose the most suitable time. Each company can send 1–3 participants. Participants will receive access to the Central Chamber of Commerce’s carbon footprint calculator during the training.

Autumn 2025 training dates:

  • September 16, 9:00–11:00
  • September 18, 13:00–15:00
  • September 23, 9:00–11:00

To support calculations, sector-specific sparring workshops will be arranged. In these workshops, participants can ask experts for help with calculations and share challenges and solutions with representatives from the same industry. Workshops will be held online around late October–early November.

3. Climate Community thematic trainings

Advanced thematic trainings cover varied and timely topics to support companies’ climate work. Member companies can participate in training courses relevant to them, with 1–3 participants per company.

Autumn 2025 thematic trainings

  • Corporate biodiversity work, October 7, 9:00–10:30
  • Environmental claims, November 4, 9:00–10:30
  • Energy efficiency, December 4, 14:00–15:30

Application period for the Carbon Footprint Calculated label

Once the carbon footprint has been calculated for Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions according to the label criteria, companies can apply for the Central Chamber of Commerce’s Carbon Footprint Calculated label. This label, which covers indirect emissions as well, is granted free of charge to Climate Community members who have calculated their carbon footprint.

Within the Climate Community, the application periods for the Scope 1, 2, and 3 Carbon Footprint Calculated label are open in October–December and March–May. Detailed instructions and application periods will be communicated to Climate Community members.
